It is a temporary part that you use in water facilities, to service it before placing the water meter, and thus to perform the appropriate pressure tests and possible leaks in the installation.
It consists of 22 mm copper tube and two 3/4, 7/8 or 1 “brass connections, with a total length of 117 mm, identical to a water meter.
They are manufactured with two systems: gluing and welding.
Glued: The joints are connected to the copper tube by cold welding, which reacts in contact with the materials and in the absence of air, producing fast, clean and efficient welds that withstand the pressure and temperature, guaranteeing a maximum pressure of 6 bar.
Welded: The joints are connected to the copper tube by means of a “strong” welding, made with 20% silver rod, which guarantees a maximum pressure of 20 bar.
